Mountainbike cycling tours and cyclosportives
Regularly mountain bike tours and marathons are organised in the Auvergne region.
At the end of August the Tour du Sancy VTT / Sancy Verte takes place. A very well-organised mountain bike event with departure and arrival in La Bourboule, located at less then 4 miles from Le Mont-Dore.
The Sancy Verte knows 2 distances. The 31 miles ride goes through Le Mont-Dore, Chastreix-Sancy, Chastreix, La Tour d'Auvergne and back to La Bourboule. The more relaxed 19 miles ride goes via Le Mont-Dore and La Stèle directly back to La Bourboule.
The Tour du Sancy VTT covers up to a 50 miles and takes the participants via Le Mont-Dore and Chastreix-Sancy all the way to Picherande.
Especially for this cyclosportive we offer our guests a pasta meal on the eve of the cyclosportive, a cyclists breakfast, a pasta buffet upon returning from the event and a light evening meal. Costs of all this: € 36,= including a drink with the meals, excluding accommodation costs.
