5 September 2010: Discount La Toinette and Julien! - During the month September Les Camélias guests will have free access to Julien with a visit to La Toinette in Murat le Quaire. These museums show how life was in the Auvergne region 100 years ago and how it is now. More information can be found on the website of these museums.
29 August 2010: DIY news! - The access to the Les Camélias garden has been renewed. Below a picture to admire the result.
23 August 2010: Sancy Verte and Tour du Sancy! - On August 29, the Tour du Sancy VTT / Sancy Verte will take place. A very well-organised mountain bike event with departure and arrival in La Bourboule, located at less then 4 miles from Le Mont-Dore.The multiple world champion Thierry Girard will be present.

19 August 2010: Video: Murol Castle! - The French evening news made again a nice movie. This time about Murol Castle. This castle can be found at about 12.5 miles from Les Camélias.

2 August 2010: New house wine! - All our guests are – upon arrival – welcomed with a bottle of wine. Recently we started to offer a Côtes d'Auvergne from the Plateau de Gergovie area where Vercingetorix in the year 52 BC did defeat Julias Caesar.
The vineyards of winemaker Gilles Persilier are currently in transition to organic viticulture.

14 July 2010: Horizons! - Enjoying landscape art. Until September 19 the fourth edition of Horizons - Rencontres "Arts Nature" takes place around the Sancy massif. The of itself already stunning landscape is during this period decorated by 11 art objects. Below an example of the artwork on the Col de Croix St. Robert.

4 July 2010: Availability! - Until July 18 we still have a number of apartments available. The second half of July, all the apartments are going to be occupied for almost the entire period. In August and September there is still limited availability. Tip: stay with us in October; lovely summerlike weather combined with beautiful autumn colors!
25 June 2010: Coupe de France mountain bike! - From July 2 to July 4 the Coupe de France Mountain biking will be held in Super-Besse. The contestants compete in three categories: downhill, cross country and trial. 1,500 participants, 65 teams, 6000m ² stands for the teams, a exhibitors village and 10,000 to 15,000 visitors.
18 June 2010: Les Virées du Sancy ! - A new initiative in the Massif du Sancy area: Les Virés du Sancy. Animated excursions which introduce in a special way the region and its inhabitants. One of the tours has been tried out by Les Camélias. Les Camélias guests receive a 15% discount on these excursions.

11 June 2010: Ready for World Cup! - The facade of Les Camélias is ready for the World Cup. Let’s hope it will stay like this until July 11.

4 June 2010: Super-Besse MTB video! - A nice video of the mountain bike descents at Super-Besse. Highly recommended during your stay at Les Camélias. If wanted, we arrange the rental of a downhill bike and / or a clinic.
14 May 2010: Les Camélias at Facebook! - Recently a Les Camélias page on Facebook has been created. When “liking” this page you will be automatically informed of news about and events near Les Camélias.
3 May 2010: Tour du Sancy / Sancy Verte offer! - On August 29, the mountain bike cyclosportive Tour VTT du Sancy / Sancy Verte will take place. The start is in La Bourboule at 6 km from Les Camelias. Especially for this cyclosportive we offer our guests a pasta meal on the eve of the cyclosportive, an early cyclists breakfast, a pasta buffet upon returning from the event and a light evening meal. Costs of all this: € 36, = including a drink with meals.
18 April 2010: Cycling and cure season started! - While enjoying beautiful spring weather, here the cycling season has begun and our first cycling guests have arrived. Monday, April 19 is the start of the cure season, our first cure guests arrive during this week. We are looking forward to a nice summer!
5 April 2010: Photos per apartment! - In order to give you an even better impression of Les Camélias, we have created individual photo albums for each of our apartments. The apartments can be accessed via the submenu on the apartments page.
31 March 2010: Partner Thermen La Bourboule - Les Camélias has become a partner of the Grands Thermes de La Bourboule. Our guests benefit from a 30% discount on spa treatments at the l'Espace Bien-Etre. One can choose from a large number of packages. More (French) information can be found on the website of the Grands Thermes de La Bourboule.
25 March 2010: Summer lay-out! - The Les Camélias website is ready for summer. The photo albums on the various pages have been updated; many new pictures have been added. Furthermore summer activities are shown more at the top of the menu, the winter logo has been replaced by our summer logo and winter pictures have been replaced by more sunny ones.
21 March 2010: Springtime! - Despite the fact that skiing is still possible, spring also has started. The first flowers have been seen and the first bike rides have been done. We are currently working on updating the website and preparing a new road cycling route system.
