Skiing in the Auvergne
The Auvergne region is also great for skiing. At the with each other linked ski areas of Le Mont-Dore and Super-Besse 53 miles of runs are waiting for you!
- 61 descents: 21 green, 18 blue, 15 red and 7 black
- A total of 41 ski lifts
- Snow canons
- 2 Snow Parks with bumps and obstacles
- A slalom stadium
- 1 speed-riding zone. Speedriding is a mixture between skiing, paragliding and parachute jumping.
- A steep wall/couloir area with about 20 descents
- A secured sledge area
There is a free shuttle service offering free transport from Le Mont-Dore to the base station of the ski runs.
There are also several ski touring routes but for this a good knowledge of the area, good material, study of the route and the weather conditions are required.
